The restaurant’s beginnings
Beside the Spree, close to the Chinese Embassy, Ming Dynastie has the spacious dining room, round tables and Chinese furnishings of a long-established restaurant. For more than twenty years, it has been a place to sit down with family and order a full meal.

The family’s restaurant story began in 1991 with China Palast near Volkspark Friedrichshain, followed later by Ming Dynastie. Dishes from their home region and Sichuan cooking first drew embassy guests, then a wider Berlin clientele. Sichuan dishes and Shanghai dim sum were already part of the offering more than twenty years ago.
Sichuan and homestyle dishes
Chongqing chilli chicken brings a dry, fragrant heat. Kung pao chicken and twice-cooked pork are natural partners for rice, while Sichuan water-boiled fish and maoxuewang put a spicy broth at the centre. Dry stir-frying and broth-based dishes give the table different kinds of warmth.

Cumin lamb adds the fragrance of spices. Fish-fragrant aubergine combines savoury, sweet, sour and hot notes, while green beans and water spinach provide vegetable choices. Rice and greens help bring a full meal together around the stronger flavours.
Dim sum and a shared meal
Pork and cabbage potstickers, xiaolongbao and vegetable potstickers extend the choice into dim sum. A browned base and a soft steamed wrapper offer different pleasures beside the hot dishes.

The nearby station makes it easy to reach for visitors and family gatherings. Generous portions and friendly guidance help when choosing from the menu; for a larger group, reserve a table and discuss the order with the staff.
